Tell me to live in the present time.
So I do.
I wake up early to walk outside.
I feel blue.
I moved from the sun to the dark Parkside,
to start up a new.
"Two more years", I tell myself,
"I have to".
The first night we met your card was denied.
I paid for you.
I wore my coat even inside.
It was light blue.
The sky was dark and we drank all night.
We were deaf to Johnny Cash playing at volume nine.
A Boy Named Sue.
We walked to The City's far north side.
Remember our view?
We saw where The Bridge and the land collide with the ocean blue.
I looked at the grass as you looked in my eyes.
You already knew I was surrounded by what's inside.
But our love grew.
My last night has come and I say I'm fine but how are you?
I change my shirt for dinner time.
It was dark blue.
We waited about two hours in line for barbecue.
You were my lady, partner in crime.
Ill be back soon.
